API Visibility and Troubleshooting at Scale

The troubleshooting process was a logistical nightmare

Troubleshooting a customer’s issue from a technical standpoint is always a challenge. Add unresponsive and non-technical customers to the mix and it borders on impossible. MeR’s technical team found itself in that situation with more than 40,000 customers, and with tens of thousands of logs that had to be reviewed manually.

Connecting customers’ behavior with APIs

If MeR wanted to see which customers triggered requests, what their journey looked like, and what was impacted, it required a manual investigation. That led to slower response time, missed opportunities, and delays in detecting issues. In addition, their visibility was fragmented across different monitoring tools, teams, and applications.

SOLUTION

Fixing troubleshooting

Treblle integration, which took less than 30 minutes, allowed MeR to have a real-time dashboard. This allowed them to spot problems instantly without contacting their customers. MeR liked the dashboard so much that they put a big TV in the middle of the office which only displays Treblle’s API dashboard.

Our real-time dashboard allowed them to have API observability and visibility all in the same place. In their case, it was a TV with our dashboard that stood in the middle of the room at their office. Troubleshooting became almost instant because they were able to match their customers’ behavior with APIs.
